NVM is maintaining Apache Solr servers for their clients. The Solr servers are being used by multiple multi-lingual websites. We were asked to fixed the erratic search results and implement facet, wild character and file indexing. We removed all the mis-configuration at both server and client ends. We also implemented Tikka extension for parsing of PDF files to enable file indexing. We also extended the Solr extension to implement the wild character search as per client's need.
